Such measures shall be terminated when the Security Council has taken the measures necessary to restore and maintain international peace and security .Essentially, an attack on any member shall be considered to be an attack on all members.This invocation of Article Five was ratified on 4 October 2001 when NATO determined that the attacks were indeed eligible under the terms of the North Atlantic Treaty.26 Eight official actions were taken by NATO to respond to the attacks. The themes are emphasised in the settings of the play, Belmont symbolising love and Venice symbolising hate.
